Thrive Tree Service from Evergreen Tree Services

Hillsboro Landscaping for a well-groomed yard

It’s easy to be tempted to take care of your plants yourself but expert care for your trees and shrubs is very important. For most homeowners, it is a task that is tackled by themselves or one that is totally overlooked. Evergreen Tree Service offers a variety of options to care for your trees and shrubs. With our services, you can improve your plants’ health and appearance and increase your property value. We can ensure that your trees and shrubs get all the right conditions including nutrients and protection to thrive.

We start by having one of our ISA certified Arborists evaluate your trees and shrubs to determine your landscape’s specific needs. Upon completion of this evaluation, we create a tailored approach to give your plants exactly what they require to thrive. Our program aims to keep your landscape healthy by eliminating pests and insects and preventing disease.

Balanced Root Zone Fertilization

A balanced fertilizer is one in which the included macronutrients are contained in the fertilizer in the same proportions. This type of fertilizer is used for deep root feeding to add the essential nutrients directly to the plant’s root zone.

This type of fertilization also benefits the plant by helping it to compensate. This is especially true for existing plants which are not ideal for the selected locations in which they exist.

The fertilizer is delivered to the soil in liquid form so the nutrients can be absorbed easily and quickly. Unlike surface-applied fertilizer which takes a long time to get to the roots. The Balanced root zone fertilizer will work by encouraging root cell division and repair with any nutrients left behind becoming available to new shoot growth.

We never treat problems that you don’t have and go for a preventative approach. We know the constituents of local soil and can mix a specific rate of fertilizer that will work best for your soil and your plant specifically.

Dormant Oil Protection

Dormant oil protection is designed for protecting your plants against insects such as aphids, mites, borers, and scale. Dormant oil comes in liquid form and is eco-friendly refined mineral oil. It allows us to treat your plants with a product that won’t be toxic. It is safe for you and your entire family, including your pets, and there will be no harsh residue left behind.

It is applied to plants through a sprayer application that works by first dissolving the protective coating on the larva of any present pest. Then it suffocates or drowns any larva that is waiting to feed on the leaves of your shrubs or trees. Newer forms of dormant oil are not as heavy as their predecessors and so they can be applied almost any season of the year. Previously these oils could only be applied to trees when they were at a dormant stage. It is still recommended that trees be treated between November and early spring.

Plant Care and Environmental Concerns

Here at Evergreen Tree Service, we use products that are environmentally responsible. We minimize pesticide use and as such, we do an evaluation during each scheduled visit to ensure that only plants that need pesticides will receive them. Each tree or shrub receives individual treatment with the products for care that is specific to that plant.

Benefits of Landscape & Tree Maintenance

Thrive Tree Service for the beauty of your home

The biggest advantage of landscape and tree maintenance is that it gives you peace of mind that everything is thriving. Additionally, maintenance throughout the year can prepare trees for the harsher seasons as well as springtime growth. Pruning trees regularly can help them to store energy, recover from cold temperatures, and look tidy. A well-groomed property can even be a source of great happiness for you and your household.

Fertilized gardens and lawns that are maintained regularly are also stronger against colder temperatures. Our Hillsboro certified arborists and tree care professionals are dedicated to helping you increase the overall health and appearance of your property.
